Just days after the launch of LEGO’s trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, the announcement of a new LEGO Star Wars themed TV series will air called Star Wars: The Resistance Rises.
The series will consist of a number of “shorts” that will cover events that happened before The Force Awakens. The series will show never before told stories of Kylo Ren, Han Solo, Finn, Rey, BB-8, Maz Kanata and more. Wait! There better be something about Luke in there!
“Poe to the Rescue” will be the premiere episode which will be about the story of the star pilot, Poe Dameron, on a mission to rescue Admiral Ackbar from Captain Phasma.
The series looks to have the same fun humor and parody that fans of LEGO have come to know and love. My family can’t get enough of LEGO’s Droid Tales and Yoda Chronicles, which makes us even more excited for The Resistance Rises!
Star Wars: The Resistance Rises will air on Disney XD Monday, February 15th at 8 p.m. ET
