Carrie Fisher has posthumously won the “Best Spoken Word Album” Grammy for her work on The Princess Diarist.
Her win comes in a category with tough competition that included Neil Degrasse Tyson, Bruce Springsteen, Bernie Sanders and Mark Ruffalo.
This is Fisher’s second nomination in the same category, her first being for the audio reading of her book, Wishful Drinking. In The Princess Diarist, released in 2016, Fisher recalls the stories she kept in a journal that include intimate behind the scenes stories from the filming of the 1977 hit film, Star Wars.
