“I’m BATMAN!”
Warner Bros. Games has just released a trailer and release date for their upcoming game, “LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight” which is scheduled for 2026.
LEGO Batman has always been a special character for me, thanks to memories with my youngest daughter. Back in 2014, when The LEGO Movie came out, it became her favorite, especially because of Batman. She loved how silly he was and his raspy voice, played by Will Arnett. We had a children’s book adaptation of the movie, and almost every night I’d read it to her before bed. As I read, she would anticipate the arrival of Batman and when I turned the page and in my best Batman raspy voice, announced, “I’m Batman,” she would squeal! I can’t wait to relive that moment when we get to play this game together!
LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is a brand-new open world action-adventure game that lets players experience Bruce Wayne’s journey to becoming Gotham City’s hero. Inspired by over 80 years of Batman movies, shows, comics, and games, this title is filled with Batman nostalgia, DC references, and the classic LEGO humor fans love.
Developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Games, the game will be available on PlayStation®5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch™ 2, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store).
Players can choose from seven playable characters — Batman, Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul — each with their own unique abilities, gadgets, and combat moves. From Batman’s Batclaw to Catwoman’s whip, every character brings something different to the adventure.
The story-driven campaign follows Bruce Wayne’s path from his origins to his rise as the Dark Knight, highlighting some of the most iconic moments from Batman’s legendary history. Packed with action, heart, and LEGO fun, Legacy of the Dark Knight is a celebration of Gotham’s greatest hero.
