Middle-earth RETURNS to theaters January 2026
On December 5th, Fathom Entertainment reported that The Lord of the Rings extended edition movies will be returning to theaters January 2026.

In Celebration of New Line Cinema’s The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring’s 25th Anniversary, Extended Editions of Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings Trilogy Coming Back to Theatres from Fathom Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures on January 16-18 and 23-25.

Pictures are proud to unveil that extended editions of each film within Peter Jackson’s iconic masterpiece The Lord of the Rings Trilogy will be coming back to theatres January 16-18 and 23-25, 2026.
Where available, special DBOX presentations will be offered over the first weekend (January 16-18) for stunning audio and visuals to enhance the quintessential movies for the big screen in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. As part of the upcoming 25th anniversary celebration of The Lord of The Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring, Fathom Entertainment and Warner Bros. Pictures released a special trailer today.
