The recent release of the Masters of the Universe live-action movie reminded fans why He-Man has been a heroic icon for more than four decades. While the film delivered massive battles and dramatic moments, it also featured a lot of humor that has always been part of the franchise’s charm. That balance of action and comedy felt true to the spirit of the classic animated series, establishing that even the most powerful man in the universe doesn’t have to take himself too seriously.

I still remember the first time I heard Seth Green talk about a new stop-motion comedy show made with action figures and toys, and I was instantly curious (and a little skeptical). Could something that wild work? Now, 20 years later, Robot Chicken has not only worked, it’s become a hilarious and genius part of pop culture. The best part of the He-Man sketches? Skeletor and the villains! They’re totally over-the-top and hilarious. I could do an entire feature on just Robot Chicken He-Man parodies, THIS is just a sample!

When I first came across this video, I choked out loud laughing! This is a perfect He-Man/Dirty Dancing crossover that is not only choreographed perfectly but hits all the marks on what makes a great (and funny) parody! You could say that you’ll “have the time of your life?”
Neflix Ruins He-Man
Ironic how “Kevin Smith” appears in this parody as many of the more “hard-core” Masters of the Universe fans consider the Netflix animated series created by him as a slap at He-Man and the established lore. What do YOU think?
