Since her first appearance in All-Star Comics #8, published October 21, 1941, Wonder Woman has been inspiring fans, and some of those fans have gone above and beyond by creating their own fan films featuring the iconic hero. These fan-made projects show that you don’t need a Hollywood budget but can create a quality story with passion, and creativity. Whether it’s action-packed battles or interesting story plots, these films show us what makes the Amazon warrior so “Wonderful”.
Here are some of our favorite Wonder Woman fan films.
Wonder Woman: A Short by Rainfall Films
This is the one that started it all for me. Released over a decade ago, this short film by Rainfall Films still holds up today. With a simple but strong plot, great visuals, and a lead actress who truly captures the spirit of Wonder Woman, it’s no wonder this film was so well-received. It’s a fan classic.
FIRST IMPRESSIONS (A Wonder Woman Fan Film)
In this story, Wonder Woman is trying to enjoy a date when they are confronted by some “bad guys”. She quickly jumps into action, using her combat skills to handle the situation. The film keeps things grounded, focusing more on the action than flashy costumes, and it works really well.

NUBIA: Queen of the Amazons – A Wonder Woman Fan Film
This fan film features Nubia, a fierce and powerful Amazon queen from DC Comics. It’s more dramatic in tone, with intense fight scenes and beautiful scenery. A great watch if you’re interested in exploring more of Themyscira’s warriors.
Wonder Woman 2021
This short film focuses on one solid fight scene and it delivers. The choreography is well done, and the setting adds to the impact. It’s a great example of how fan films can still pack a punch with limited runtime.
Wonder Woman – Fan Film
You might not understand the language without subtitles, but the action speaks for itself. This film mixes cool special effects with a bit of campy fun, creating an entertaining and action-filled short that shows just how much fans love the character.
